Experience the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

When it comes to seaside entertainment hotspots, look no further than the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade!

Since its grand opening in May 2010, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade has become one of the areas most beloved local attractions for tourists and locals alike. A hub of the city's community activities it has even gained the attention of both National Geographic and Travel and Leisure as a top boardwalk within the United States. In 2013, it received a Southeast Tourism Society Shining Example Award as the "Escape to the Southeast Travel Attraction of the Year"!

Running 1.2 miles alongside the oceanfront of the beach itself, it stretches all the way from Pier 14 to the 2nd Avenue Pier and can be distinguished by three distinct sections. The northern segment features a raised wooden deck that runs from Pier 14 to Plyler Park. In addition to the pier, the famous enclosed Myrtle Beach Skywheel is just steps away and the park is home to many free and family-friendly events throughout the year, including a popular live summer concert series known as "Hot Summer Nights." The middle segment, between Plyler Park and the former site of the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, offers many oceanfront gift shops, restaurants, bars, arcades, rides and gaming. Described by many as "a carnival atmosphere" this area provides a mix of wood and concrete to walk upon as well as colorful shade sails and many different types of events throughout the year. The Southern Promenade extends down from the former pavilion area to the 2nd Avenue Pier. A true oceanfront park, this part of the winding trail features many benches and fabulous ocean views in a more natural setting away from the hustle and bustle of the north end. In addition, the pier is known to host seasonal summer fireworks.

Located in an upscale neighborhood less than 15 minutes from the boardwalk's north end, Horizon at 77th offers affordable yet spacious condos, indoor and outdoor pools, an on-site fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi and much more in an upscale neighborhood. Discover why your perfect vacation is on the horizon!
